Delicious vampire fudge recipe recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, cut into pieces
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup chopped walnuts or pecans (optional)
  • 1/4 cup red decorating gel
  • 1 tablespoon white chocolate chips (for swirling, optional)
  • Pinch of sea salt

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, leaving overhang on the sides for easy removal.
  2. Step 2: In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine the chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring after each interval, until completely melted and smooth. Be careful not to overheat.
  3. Step 3: Stir in the vanilla extract and chopped nuts (if using).
  4. Step 4: Pour the fudge mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly.
  5. Step 5: Drop small dollops of red decorating gel and white chocolate chips (if using) randomly over the fudge. Use a toothpick or knife to swirl the colors together, creating a marbled effect.
  6. Step 6: Sprinkle a pinch of sea salt over the top of the fudge. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours, or until firm. Lift the fudge out of the pan using the parchment paper overhang, cut into squares, and serve.

Notes

  • Store leftover Vampire Fudge in an airtight container in the refrigerator to keep it firm and prevent it from getting sticky.
  • Since this fudge is best served chilled, reheating isn't recommended; instead, let it sit at room temperature for a few minutes for slightly softer squares.
  • Serve your spooky fudge on a platter alongside other Halloween treats for a truly terrifying (and delicious) dessert spread.
  • For a richer flavor, toast the walnuts or pecans before adding them to the fudge mixture – this brings out their nutty aroma and enhances the overall taste.
