Ingredients
Scale
- 1 ½ cups graham cracker crumbs
- ½ cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, melted
- 1 (14 ounce) can sweetened condensed milk
- 2 cups marshmallows, mini or regular, halved if large
- 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
- ½ cup milk chocolate chips
- ¼ cup chopped peanuts (optional)
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract (optional)
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9×13 inch baking pan.
- Step 2: In a medium bowl, combine the graham cracker crumbs and melted butter. Mix until evenly moistened. Press the crumb mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking pan.
- Step 3: In a separate bowl, combine the sweetened condensed milk, marshmallows, semi-sweet chocolate chips, milk chocolate chips, peanuts (if using), and vanilla extract (if using). Stir until the chocolate chips are mostly melted and the mixture is well combined. You can gently heat this mixture in the microwave in 30 second intervals if needed to help melt the chocolate.
- Step 4: Pour the marshmallow mixture evenly over the graham cracker crust in the baking pan.
- Step 5: Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the marshmallow topping is lightly golden brown and the edges are set.
- Step 6: Let the bars cool completely in the pan before cutting into squares. This will allow them to firm up.
Notes
- Store leftover S'more Bars in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or freeze them for longer storage.
- For a gooey, warm treat, microwave individual bars for 10-15 seconds, or until heated through.
- Serve these S'more Bars slightly warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of extra chocolate sauce for an indulgent dessert.
- To prevent the bottom crust from becoming soggy, ensure the melted butter is evenly distributed amongst the graham cracker crumbs before pressing into the pan.
