- 1 box (12.25 oz) yellow cake mix
- 1 cup pumpkin puree
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
- 1/2 cup milk
- 1 container (12 oz) vanilla frosting
- 1/4 cup heavy cream
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a Twinkie pan or muffin tin.
- Step 2: In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, pumpkin puree, vegetable oil, eggs, pumpkin pie spice, and milk. Mix until well combined and smooth.
- Step 3: Fill each cavity of the Twinkie pan or muffin tin about 2/3 full with the batter.
- Step 4: Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Step 5: Let the Twinkies cool completely in the pan before inverting them onto a wire rack to cool further.
- Step 6: While the Twinkies cool, whip the vanilla frosting with heavy cream until smooth and fluffy. Pipe the filling into the Twinkies using a long, thin nozzle or a makeshift hole.
