Ingredients
- Salmon fillets: 2 (6-8 ounce each)
- Garlic: 4 cloves, minced
- Honey: 3 tablespoons
- Soy sauce: 2 tablespoons
- Olive oil: 1 tablespoon
- Red pepper flakes: 1/4 teaspoon (optional)
- Lemon juice: 1 tablespoon
- Salt and pepper: to taste
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Pat the salmon fillets dry with paper towels and season with salt and pepper.
- Step 2: In a small bowl, whisk together the minced garlic, honey, soy sauce, olive oil, red pepper flakes (if using), and lemon juice.
- Step 3: Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet. Brush the honey garlic sauce evenly over the top of each fillet.
- Step 4: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until the salmon is cooked through and flakes easily with a fork. The internal temperature should reach 145°F (63°C).
- Step 5: Broil for the last 1-2 minutes (optional) to get the top extra crispy, watching carefully to prevent burning.
- Step 6: Garnish with fresh parsley or green onions (optional) and serve immediately.
Notes
- Refrigerate leftover salmon in an airtight container for up to 2 days.
- For best results, gently reheat salmon in a skillet over low heat with a splash of water to retain moisture.
- Serve this delicious salmon with a side of steamed broccoli and quinoa for a complete and healthy meal.
- Don't overcrowd the pan; use two baking sheets if necessary to ensure the salmon crisps up nicely instead of steaming.
