Delicious no-bake twinkie pudding cake recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • Twinkies, sliced 10
  • Vanilla pudding mix (3.4 oz box) 1
  • Milk 3 cups
  • Cool Whip (8 oz container) 1
  • Cream cheese, softened (8 oz) 1
  • Powdered sugar 1/2 cup
  • Vanilla extract 1 teaspoon
  • Optional: Sprinkles or chocolate shavings for garnish

Instructions

  1. Step 1: In a large bowl, whisk together the vanilla pudding mix and milk until smooth. Let it set for a few minutes to thicken slightly.
  2. Step 2: In a separate bowl, beat the softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together until smooth and creamy. Add the vanilla extract and mix well.
  3. Step 3: Gently fold the cream cheese mixture into the thickened vanilla pudding until well combined.
  4. Step 4: Line the bottom of a 9×13 inch baking dish with a layer of sliced Twinkies.
  5. Step 5: Spread half of the pudding mixture over the Twinkie layer. Top with half of the Cool Whip, spreading it evenly.
  6. Step 6: Repeat the layers: Add another layer of sliced Twinkies, the remaining pudding mixture, and finally top with the remaining Cool Whip. Garnish with sprinkles or chocolate shavings, if desired. Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or preferably overnight, to allow the cake to set.

Notes

  • Keep leftovers refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 3 days, but it's best enjoyed within 24 hours for optimal Twinkie freshness.
  • Because this cake is served cold, there is no reheating required or recommended!
  • A scoop of fresh berries alongside each slice will add a bright, fruity counterpoint to the sweetness.
  • For easier Twinkie slicing, pop them in the freezer for about 15 minutes beforehand!
