Ingredients
Scale
- 1 package (8 count) refrigerated croissant rolls
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
- 8 slices mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup pepperoni slices
- 1/4 cup pizza sauce
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet. Open croissant rolls and separate them slightly.
- Step 2: In a small bowl, combine shredded chicken, 1 tablespoon olive oil, and Italian seasoning. Mix well.
- Step 3: Spread a thin layer of pizza sauce inside each croissant. Top with a spoonful of the chicken mixture, a few slices of pepperoni, and a slice of mozzarella cheese.
- Step 4: Close the croissant rolls, pinching the edges to seal. Brush the tops with the remaining olive oil.
- Step 5: Sprinkle Parmesan cheese over the rolls.
- Step 6: Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and heated through. Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
- Store leftover rolls in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 2 days, or freeze them for longer storage.
- For a perfectly crispy reheating experience, briefly warm the rolls in a 350°F oven for 5-7 minutes.
- Serve these irresistible rolls as a fun appetizer, alongside a fresh garden salad for a balanced meal.
- To prevent the mozzarella from becoming too stringy, ensure it's slightly chilled before adding it to the rolls.
