Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease or line a 12-cup muffin tin.
- Step 2: In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Step 3: In a separate bowl, combine the maple syrup, milk, and egg. Whisk until well combined.
- Step 4: Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined. Do not overmix.
- Step 5: Gently fold in the cooked sausage crumbles and shredded cheddar cheese.
- Step 6: Fill each muffin cup about 2/3 full with the batter. Bake for 18-20 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
