Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup chopped green onions
- 2 tablespoons soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 teaspoon grated ginger
- 1 tablespoon brown sugar
Instructions
- Step 1: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, breadcrumbs, chopped green onions, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, grated ginger, and brown sugar. Mix well until all ingredients are evenly incorporated.
- Step 2: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper for easy cleanup.
- Step 3: Using your hands, form the mixture into small meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them onto the prepared baking sheet.
- Step 4: Bake the meatballs in the preheated oven for about 20 minutes or until they are cooked through and browned on the outside.
- Step 5: Serve the Korean BBQ-style meatballs warm, garnished with additional chopped green onions or sesame seeds if desired. Enjoy with rice or as an appetizer!
Notes
- For optimal freshness, store leftover meatballs in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to three days or freeze them for longer storage.
- When reheating, pop the meatballs back in a preheated oven at 350°F (175°C) for about 10-15 minutes to regain their crispy exterior, or microwave them gently to avoid drying out.
- These flavorful meatballs are perfect served over steamed rice, but you can also skewer them on toothpicks for a fun and easy appetizer at your next gathering.
- To enhance the flavor, consider adding some crushed red pepper flakes to the meat mixture for a spicy kick, or drizzle a bit of extra sesame oil before serving for added richness.
