Ingredients
- Ground chicken: 1 pound
- Breadcrumbs: 1/2 cup
- Onion, finely chopped: 1/4 cup
- Garlic, minced: 2 cloves
- Egg: 1 large
- Worcestershire sauce: 1 tablespoon
- Salt: 1/2 teaspoon
- Black pepper: 1/4 teaspoon
Instructions
- Step 1: In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken, breadcrumbs, chopped onion, minced garlic, egg, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper.
- Step 2: Gently mix all the ingredients together with your hands until just combined. Be careful not to overmix.
- Step 3: Divide the mixture into 4 equal portions and shape each portion into a patty, about 3/4 inch thick.
- Step 4: Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add 1 tablespoon of oil to the skillet.
- Step 5: Carefully place the patties into the hot skillet, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for about 5-7 minutes per side, or until the patties are cooked through and no longer pink inside and have reached an internal temperature of 165°F (74°C).
Notes
- For best flavor, refrigerate cooked patties in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
- Reheat patties gently in a skillet with a touch of oil or in the microwave at 30-second intervals to prevent drying.
- Serve these juicy patties on toasted buns with your favorite toppings, or alongside a fresh salad for a lighter meal.
- Don't overmix the chicken mixture; gently combining ensures the patties stay tender and juicy.
