Ingredients
Scale
- 1.5 lbs Boneless, skinless chicken breasts, cut into 1-inch pieces
- 1/4 cup Cornstarch
- 1/4 cup All-purpose flour
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 1/4 tsp Black pepper
- 1/4 cup Vegetable oil
- 1/4 cup Honey
- 4 cloves Garlic, minced
Instructions
- Step 1: In a bowl, combine the chicken pieces, cornstarch, flour, salt, and pepper. Toss to coat the chicken evenly.
- Step 2: Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat.
- Step 3: Add the chicken to the skillet in a single layer, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for 5-7 minutes, turning occasionally, until the chicken is golden brown and cooked through.
- Step 4: In a small bowl, whisk together the honey and minced garlic.
- Step 5: Pour the honey garlic sauce over the cooked chicken in the skillet. Stir to coat the chicken evenly with the sauce.
- Step 6: Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened slightly and is glossy. Serve immediately over rice or noodles, or enjoy as an appetizer.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For best reheating, gently warm the chicken bites in a skillet over medium-low heat until heated through, preventing them from drying out.
- These are fantastic served with a sprinkle of sesame seeds and chopped green onions for extra flavor and presentation!
- Chef's secret: Don't overcrowd the pan when frying the chicken; cook in batches for optimal browning and even cooking.
