Ingredients
Scale
- 1 (8-ounce) wheel of Brie cheese
- 2 tablespoons Fig jam
- 1 tablespoon Honey
- 1 tablespoon Chopped pecans or walnuts
- 1 teaspoon Fresh thyme leaves
- 1 baguette, sliced
- Crackers, for serving
- Olive oil, for drizzling
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Place the Brie wheel in an oven-safe baking dish or skillet.
- Step 2: Spread the fig jam evenly over the top of the Brie.
- Step 3: Drizzle honey over the fig jam. Sprinkle with chopped nuts and thyme leaves.
- Step 4: Bake for 5-7 minutes, or until the Brie is soft and gooey. Watch carefully to prevent burning.
- Step 5: Remove from oven and let cool slightly before serving. Drizzle with a bit of olive oil, if desired.
- Step 6: Serve immediately with sliced baguette and crackers for dipping.
Notes
- Leftover baked brie can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days; reheat gently in a low oven to prevent it from becoming rubbery.
- For a more robust flavor, toast the pecans or walnuts in a dry skillet before adding them to the brie.
- Serve this gooey brie with slices of crisp apple or pear alongside the baguette and crackers for a delightful contrast in textures.
- Don't overbake! The brie should be soft and melty, but not completely melted and runny – start checking it at 5 minutes.
