Ingredients
- Frozen banana slices: 2 medium
- White rum: 2 ounces
- Lime juice: 1 ounce
- Simple syrup: 0.75 ounce
- Ice cubes: 1 cup
- Orange liqueur (such as Cointreau or Triple Sec): 0.5 ounce
- Angostura bitters: 2 dashes
- Lime wedge: for garnish
Instructions
- Step 1: Combine the frozen banana slices, white rum, lime juice, simple syrup, orange liqueur, and Angostura bitters in a blender.
- Step 2: Add the ice cubes to the blender.
- Step 3: Blend on high speed until the mixture is smooth and creamy, about 30-60 seconds. If the mixture is too thick, add a little water or more lime juice, one tablespoon at a time, until it reaches the desired consistency.
- Step 4: Taste and adjust sweetness by adding more simple syrup if needed.
- Step 5: Pour the daiquiri into a chilled glass.
- Step 6: Garnish with a lime wedge and serve immediately.
Notes
- For extra frosty enjoyment, chill your serving glasses in the freezer for at least 30 minutes before pouring.
- This daiquiri is best enjoyed immediately, but if you have leftovers, store in the freezer for up to 24 hours, knowing the texture will change slightly.
- If your bananas aren't quite sweet enough, consider adding a tiny splash of pineapple juice to complement the other flavors.
- Don't be afraid to experiment with different rums to find your favorite flavor profile – a dark rum can add a lovely depth.
