Ingredients
- Fresh Green Beans: 1 pound
- All-Purpose Flour: 1/2 cup
- Cornstarch: 1/4 cup
- Garlic Powder: 1 teaspoon
- Onion Powder: 1 teaspoon
- Paprika: 1/2 teaspoon
- Salt: 1/2 teaspoon
- Black Pepper: 1/4 teaspoon
- Vegetable Oil: 2 cups
Instructions
- Step 1: Wash and trim the ends of the green beans. Pat them completely dry with paper towels.
- Step 2: In a medium bowl, whisk together the flour, cornstarch, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Step 3: Heat the vegetable oil in a large skillet or deep fryer over medium-high heat (about 350°F or 175°C).
- Step 4: Dredge the dried green beans in the flour mixture, ensuring they are fully coated. Shake off any excess flour.
- Step 5: Carefully add the coated green beans to the hot oil in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan. Fry for 2-3 minutes, or until golden brown and crispy.
- Step 6: Remove the fried green beans with a slotted spoon and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil. Serve immediately.
Notes
- Store leftover fried green beans in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- For best results, reheat fried green beans in an air fryer to restore their crispiness.
- Serve these crispy green beans immediately with a dipping sauce like sriracha mayo or ranch dressing for added flavor.
- Chef's tip: Ensure green beans are completely dry before dredging to get the crispiest coating.
