  • 4 Bell Peppers (various colors), tops removed and seeded
  • 1 pound Ground Beef
  • 1 cup Cooked Rice (white or brown)
  • 1 (15 ounce) can Tomato Sauce
  • 1/2 cup Onion, chopped
  • 1 clove Garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon Italian Seasoning
  • 1/2 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Preheat oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). In a large skillet, brown ground beef over medium heat. Drain off any excess grease.
  2. Step 2: Stir in the cooked rice, 1/2 cup of tomato sauce, chopped onion, minced garlic, and Italian seasoning into the skillet with the browned ground beef. Mix well.
  3. Step 3: Spoon the ground beef mixture into the prepared bell peppers, filling them completely.
  4. Step 4: Place the stuffed bell peppers in a baking dish. Pour the remaining tomato sauce over the bell peppers.
  5. Step 5: Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil and bake for 30 minutes.
  6. Step 6: Remove the foil, sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the bell peppers, and bake for an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the peppers are tender.

  • Store leftover stuffed peppers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
