- 1 teaspoon (5ml) sesame oil
- 1 tablespoon (8g) cornstarch dissolved in 2 tablespoons (30ml) cold water
Instructions
- Step 1: In a medium saucepan, combine the soy sauce, honey, rice vinegar, Sriracha sauce, grated ginger, minced garlic, and sesame oil. Whisk all ingredients together until well combined.
- Step 2: Place the saucepan over medium heat and bring the mixture to a gentle simmer, stirring occasionally. Allow it to simmer for 2-3 minutes to let the flavors meld.
- Step 3: While the sauce is simmering, prepare the cornstarch slurry by thoroughly whisking the cornstarch into 2 tablespoons of cold water until no lumps remain.
- Step 4: Slowly pour the cornstarch slurry into the simmering sauce, whisking continuously to prevent lumps from forming.
- Step 5: Continue to simmer and whisk for another 2-3 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened to your desired consistency. Remove from heat and serve warm, or allow it to cool and store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.
