Ingredients
- Cream cheese, softened: 24 ounces
- Granulated sugar: 1 1/2 cups
- Eggs: 3 large
- Sour cream: 1/2 cup
- Vanilla extract: 1 teaspoon
- All-purpose flour: 1 1/4 cups
- Brown sugar: 1/2 cup
- Ground cinnamon: 2 teaspoons
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease and flour a 9-inch springform pan.
- Step 2: In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and granulated sugar until smooth and creamy. Beat in eggs one at a time, then stir in sour cream and vanilla extract.
- Step 3: In a separate bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, and cinnamon. Cut in cold butter until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Step 4: Pour half of the cream cheese mixture into the prepared pan. Sprinkle half of the crumb mixture over the cream cheese layer.
- Step 5: Pour the remaining cream cheese mixture over the crumb layer and top with the remaining crumb mixture.
- Step 6: Bake for 55-65 minutes, or until the center is almost set. Let cool completely in the pan before refrigerating for at least 4 hours before serving.
Notes
- For best flavor, store leftovers tightly covered in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- A brief zap in the microwave can restore a slightly warmed, extra-luscious slice if desired.
- Serve chilled with a dollop of whipped cream and a sprinkle of extra cinnamon for an elegant touch.
- To prevent cracking, consider baking in a water bath for a more even temperature.
