Ingredients
- Red potatoes, 2 lbs, cubed
- Smoked chicken sausage, 1 package (12-14 oz), sliced
- Olive oil, 2 tablespoons
- Ranch dressing mix, 1 packet (1 oz)
- Shredded cheddar cheese, 1 cup
- Milk, 1/4 cup
- Garlic powder, 1 teaspoon
- Black pepper, 1/2 teaspoon
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Toss the cubed potatoes with olive oil, ranch dressing mix, garlic powder, and black pepper in a large bowl.
- Step 2: Spread the seasoned potatoes in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake for 20 minutes.
- Step 3: Remove the baking sheet from the oven and add the sliced smoked chicken sausage to the baking sheet, distributing evenly among the potatoes.
- Step 4: Return the baking sheet to the oven and bake for another 15 minutes, or until the potatoes are tender and the sausage is heated through.
- Step 5: Remove from oven, pour milk evenly over the potatoes and sausage and then sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the potato and sausage mixture. Return to the oven for about 5 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Notes
- Store leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- For best results, reheat in the oven or air fryer to keep the potatoes crispy and the sausage from getting soggy.
- Serve these cheesy ranch potatoes as a hearty side dish or a complete meal all on their own!
- Don't overcrowd the baking sheet; use two if needed to ensure even cooking and crispy potatoes.
