Ingredients
Scale
- 1 pound large shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Step 1: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish.
- Step 2: In a medium bowl, combine the shrimp, minced garlic, Parmesan cheese, olive oil, lemon juice, oregano, red pepper flakes (if using), salt, and pepper. Toss to coat the shrimp evenly.
- Step 3: Arrange the shrimp in a single layer in the prepared baking dish.
- Step 4: Bake for 8-12 minutes, or until the shrimp are pink and opaque and cooked through. The exact time will depend on the size of your shrimp.
- Step 5: Serve immediately over pasta, rice, or with crusty bread for dipping. Garnish with extra Parmesan cheese if desired.
Notes
- Store leftover shrimp in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
- For best results, reheat leftover shrimp gently in a skillet over medium-low heat with a splash of olive oil to prevent them from drying out.
- This garlic parmesan shrimp is delicious served over zucchini noodles for a lighter, low-carb option!
- Don't overcook the shrimp; watch carefully and pull them from the oven as soon as they turn pink and opaque to keep them tender.
