Delicious 3-ingredient date snickers recipe with detailed instructions and nutritional information.

  • Total Time: 35 minutes
  • Yield: 4 servings

Ingredients

  • Medjool Dates: 12, pitted
  • Peanut Butter: 1/4 cup (creamy or crunchy)
  • Dark Chocolate Chips: 1/2 cup
  • Flaky Sea Salt: Pinch (optional)
  • Chopped Peanuts: 2 tablespoons (optional)
  • Coconut Oil: 1 teaspoon (optional, for melting chocolate)

Instructions

  1. Step 1: Prepare the dates by slicing them lengthwise, being careful not to cut all the way through. Gently open each date like a little boat.
  2. Step 2: Fill each date with about 1/2 teaspoon of peanut butter. You can use a small spoon or piping bag for this.
  3. Step 3: Melt the dark chocolate chips in a microwave-safe bowl in 30-second intervals, stirring in between, until smooth. Add coconut oil to thin if needed.
  4. Step 4: Dip each peanut butter-filled date into the melted chocolate, ensuring it's fully coated. Use a fork to lift them out and allow excess chocolate to drip off.
  5. Step 5: Place the chocolate-covered dates on a parchment paper-lined plate or baking sheet. Sprinkle with flaky sea salt and chopped peanuts, if desired.
  6. Step 6: Refrigerate the dates for at least 30 minutes to allow the chocolate to set completely before serving. Store leftovers in the refrigerator.

Notes

  • Store these chilled in an airtight container to keep the chocolate firm and the dates chewy.
  • For a warm, gooey treat, microwave one or two dates for about 5-10 seconds, but watch carefully to avoid melting the chocolate completely.
  • Serve these delightful bites as a quick and satisfying dessert, or pair them with a scoop of vanilla ice cream for extra indulgence.
  • Chef's tip: A toothpick inserted into the date before dipping makes the chocolate coating process much cleaner and easier.
